Biographie de Denis Gromb
Denis Gromb was born and raised in Paris, France. He graduated from Ecole Polytechnique, where he also obtained a Ph.D. in Economics while visiting the London School of Economics. He then served on the full-time faculty at MIT (1995-2001), London Business School (2001-2008), and INSEAD (2008-2015), and visited the London School of Economics (2007-2008). He is a Full Professor of Finance at HEC Paris since 2015, and holds an HEC Foundation Chair Professorship since 2016.
Denis has over 20 years of teaching experience at all levels. At HEC Paris, Denis currently teaches courses related to Corporate Finance in an array of different programs at HEC Paris: the “Grande Ecole”, the “Master in Economics”, the MBA, the Executive MBA and the Executive MSc in Finance. He had also taught in a variety of executive programs and several doctoral programs.
His principal areas of research include corporate finance, corporate governance, banking, the economics of organizations, financial market dysfunctionality and financial crises. His articles have been published in leading academic journals in Economics and Finance. He has served as associate editor for several leading academic journals and is currently an associate editor at the RAND Journal of Economics.
